It is SO important for people to share quite intimate details about their health status with their dentist: pregnancy, medications, and certain illnesses will often have an impact on what dental treatment is offered, particularly because some adverse effects are very serious indeed. An obvious example is if a patient is taking the blood thinning medication, Warfarin, and requires a tooth extraction. If the dentist is not aware of the patient's medical history and goes ahead with the extraction, a medical emergency is likely to occur.
The onus is on the dentist to always ask the patient about their current medical status at every appointment: the patient's role is to answer these questions truthfully and thoroughly. It's wonderful when a patient is forward-thinking enough to fully-update their dentist about their current medical situation before the dentist even asks! :-)

You're spot on when it comes to the correct hygiene a dentist needs to employ. Whitening does benefit teeths health but can't really do much when it comes to severe toothache, that's when a dentist is irreplaceable.

One reason many myself included dont go to the dentist is the pain involved with getting stuck with several needles. Not fun and get put off until things hurt in which case it hurts anyways. But even then I find the needle poke and burning feeling more painful then the toothache.

Then theres a problem with the fillings that are taxoic such as murcury and Ive read about the other stuff they put radioactive and other heavy medal materials in the alternative fillers that makes me wonder how safe those are. I know youll say how safe they are but at one time doctors pushed cocaine and harione and CIRGERETES so I dont take what anyone selling what they are telling me is safe for a grain of salt. We all know mercury is one of the deadliest substances to humans. And several dentists have shown how the murcury offgases when anything hot goes in your mouth and even when nothing is in your mouth.

Another problem that contributes to teeth darkening is tiny cracks in the teeth, and they can occur naturally or from bruxism (grinding) and clenching. The cracks accumulate staining from things such as dark foods and drinks and smoking. Strong whitening products will usually remove these stains.

Teeth Whitening is the process of bleaching your teeth in order to make them appear whiter. Teeth whitening can be done at home or are by a dentist. Teeth whitening is a purely cosmetic procedure, done to enhance ones smile. There are many over-the-counter teeth whitening products which have become very popular lately.

Laser teeth whitening is an ideal procedure for a person with a busy schedule. The procedure has indirect benefits for people who misplace small objects or are likely to forget where they put the needed equipment for other whitening procedures. The patient does not leave the dentist’s office with any additional equipment.

The first thing I would like to say is that teeth lose their white colour naturally with age, so it is not abnormal to experience this. However there are certain things that can accelerate this process, one of the most common is tobacco smoke. Other things are red wine, coffee, tea and other foods that have strong food colourings.
